HTML language basics

The HTML language is used for the development and creation of websites; is based on the implementation of a series of tags that are interpreted by the browser, in which the images, the passage of its pages, hyperlinks and other elements that make it possible for users to enter internet platforms are established.

This language originated in 1991, when its creator Tim Berners-Lee entered it for the first time on the internet, through a document he called HTML Tags.

During this launch, the author showed an initial design through 22 labels, to make this type of language easily understood; but over the years it has been expanded and improved, providing many new features.

Do you know what a tag is within the HTML language?

These are simply made up of small text fragments that are surrounded by angle brackets to write the HTML code in them and can be identified as opening <tag> or closing </tag> thus forming the structures of the HTML programming language that will be interpreted by the browser, giving it shape on the screen that is viewed by the user.

Elements that make up the HTML language

For its operation, the HTML language must have certain components that are identified as attributes and which to learn to identify.

Elements

The elements contained within the web pages form their structure, they are identified by symbols ranging from h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 and h6, used in order to give life to the headers; simply because it determines the order of location of each of the contents, whether main or secondary.

It is the presentation hierarchy, where h1 is assigned the first level that will be highlighted using a large font size and this size decreases as one descends within the hierarchy, until reaching the h6 level that will represent the smallest text of everybody.

Attributes

The attributes component is the one that defines how the presentation behavior of each of the labels will be, with respect to the place where they will be placed. This is indicated as part of the label itself by means of a name and its corresponding attribute in quotes.

Attributes are terms used to describe the file or field, citing an example could be the initial <a> and the final </a> tag, in this way the behavior of the element is being controlled.

Importance of using HTML language

The HTML language is a web standard of fundamental importance, which is constantly being developed to provide you with new and better functionalities, since it is widely used by programmers as an indispensable tool to develop all their web projects.

With it, it is possible to create fast-deploying hypertexts that are recognized and supported by any type of browser, providing the possibility of incorporating even small files; although it should be noted that its design can be a slow job, with static language and whose use of labels is quite limited.

But none of this is usually relevant when it is thought that web pages are a means of disseminating information that provides a series of invaluable knowledge to users, within them they always find what they are looking for and are offered a wide range of business opportunities.

Therefore, taking a little time to work properly with the HTML language in the long run will bring you incalculable benefits, since you will make the perfect web layout that allows you to benefit from the Search engines, the essential way for your website to be indexed to the engines of platforms such as Google, MSN or Yahoo.

Remembering that to be successful, it is necessary that your code or HTML language is very well structured and optimized, so that it can be indexed by them; without it becoming a loss of money or visitors.
